Andy Cooney

Managing Director, Specialty Finance

Andy Cooney is a Managing Director within Revere’s Specialty Finance team and has focused on investments for the firm in various roles for the past 5 years. He has more than 30 years of financial advisory, investment banking and asset management experience, much of it within the specialty finance and structured product sectors. Prior to Revere, Mr. Cooney provided both advisory and investment services to a variety of non-bank lenders across multiple asset classes through FalconBridge Capital Markets. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Principal at Four Corners Capital Management, LLC until its acquisition by the Macquarie Group. As CFO, Mr. Cooney designed and implemented fund strategies in concert with various US and international investment clients of the firm and helping to grow AUM to over $5 billion.

Prior to his role at Four Corners, Andy was a Managing Director at First Union Capital Markets (a predecessor to Wells Fargo Securities), where he was responsible for the Emerging Assets Securitization Group, which focused on applying securitization techniques to new asset classes.  While at the firm, his group executed securitizations across a broad array of asset classes including tax liens, student loans, franchise loans, and corporate loans (“CLO’s”). Prior to that, Mr. Cooney was a Director at Banc of America Securities in the asset securitization group and served as Chief Financial Officer for a subprime automobile finance company. Mr. Cooney is a graduate of Washington and Lee University and the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University (MBA).
